Nánari upplýsingar
Black magic in Iceland is a one man theatrical play that weaves together three classic and creepy Icelandic folk stories, that local grandmothers are known to use to scare children before bedtime. With humor and drama the saga is told of how black magic came to the island from Europe in the year 1100 with a priest riding the devil himself in a form of a seal, and how the magic affected the land and its people until the last remnant of it sinks with a madman into a glacier in the year 1750. Still, with the financial collapse and mysterious soccer success perhaps some black magic lives on with Icelanders today.
Traditional Icelandic storytelling and performed in English.
